Meditation in Everyday Life
September 24 / 10:00 AM - October 22 / 12:00 PM
The first in the Way of Shambhala series, this five-week, Tuesday morning course provides an opportunity for new and experienced students to deepen their experience and understanding of meditation, with special attention on practical suggestions for establishing a sitting practice in the midst of our speedy society.
This program also offers a glimpse of the Shambhala vision of enlightened society by emphasizing the ways in which meditation can affect our daily lives, and can expand to impact our whole society. This view is based upon the teachings of meditation in Turning the Mind Into an Ally and Shambhala: The Sacred Path of the Warrior.
Meditation in Everyday Life includes meditation instruction, talks, periods of meditation practice, discussion, and a variety of contemplative practice activities.
