Meditation In Everday Life

The Meditation in Everyday Life course is designed to provide you with the introductory tools and teachings for working with meditation in everyday life. With simple instructions and support, mindfulness meditation practice can become part of your lives, bringing greater stability, strength, and clarity.


This is the first course in our core curriculum, The Way of Shambhala, which provides a strong foundation in mindfulness-awareness meditation and the Shambhala Buddhist teachings of compassion and confidence in a challenging world.


The Courses
The courses are weekly, interactive, communal, and create a learning environment where the teachings are intimate and relevant. We train in meditation, and use inquiry, dialogue, and contemplative arts throughout the classes.


 


Jesse Miller has been a student of Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche and Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche for over thirty years and has been directing Shambhala Training programs since 1991. He is also a teacher of buddhist programs and has worked closely with Pema Chodron in several large programs in the Bay Area and at Shambhala Mountain Center. A member of the Berkeley Shambhala Center, Jesse often travels to other centers to teach and is a regular yearly visitor to the sanghas of  Auckland and Wellington in New Zealand.
