Shambhala Training Level II: Birth of the Warrior

with Helen Bennett
September 6 / 6:30 PM - September 8 / 6:00 PM

Level II :  Birth of the Warrior

In this, the second in the series of Shambhala Training weekend workshops, we cultivate our willingness to observe our cocoon of habitual fear and defense mechanisms. We begin to appreciate that there is no fundamental obstacle to experiencing basic goodness.

The point of the Shambhala Training is to get out of the cocoon, which is the shyness and aggression in which we have wrapped ourselves. —Chögyam Trungpa

The program includes meditation instruction and practice, formal talks on the Shambhala teachings, group discussion, and personal interviews.

This program will be taught by Helen Bennett.

Helen is a senior Shambhala Buddhist practitioner and has been a part of the Auckland Shambhala community for 17 years.  She has studied under Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche for 11 years and currently holds the senior teacher and Head Meditation Instructor roles in the Auckland sangha. Helen works as a mediator and couples therapist and lives in the foothills of the Waitakere Ranges in a beautiful village called Titirangi.
