Harvest of Peace

September 21 / 9:00 AM - September 21 / 12:00 PM

Harvest of Peace, held around the time of the Autumn Equinox, is an opportunity for local communities to come together to celebrate community, practice the Shambhala Sadhana together and to hear a teaching by Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche.

We will begin at 9:15 with the Shambhala Sadhana which is open to everyone for this special occasion.  It will be led and introduced by Shastri Charlene Leung.  This will be followed by the Sakyong's address at 10:30, an update by director Megan Murphy, followed by champagne and sparkling water.

In the evening all members are invited to neighborhood potluck dinners held in Berkeley, Oakland, Albany and El Cerrito; invitations will be sent via e-mail the week of September 9th.  Non members please register with us to join the celebrations.

The suggested donation for the morning event is $15 but we gladly accept any offerings of generosity.  Free for members.

About the Shambhala Sadhana:

The Sakyong composed this practice to deepen our personal and social connection with basic goodness. The Shambhala Sadhana is simple and quite powerful in its direct approach to basic goodness. This sadhana is practiced at Enlightened Society Seminarys and at all Scorpion Seal Assemblies.
