Kado: The Way of Flowers

with Marcia Shibata
October 19 / 5:00 AM - October 20 / 6:00 AM

Kado is a creative and meditative dance with nature, space, and perception. The vibrant and daring beauty of flowers wakes up the environment and compels us to see what is really before us. Under the guidance of Ms. Shibata, we learn how the ancient principles of heaven, earth, and humanity are expressed in nature and in our daily lives.

Marcia Wang Shibata began her study and practice of both Buddhism and Ikebana at Karmê Chöling in 1974, when she became a student of Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche. For many years she has taught Kado with deep insight, great elegance and warmth.

This programme starts on Saturday morning October 19 and ends on Sunday evening October 20.
