Throughout history, people have aspired to create societies that express the dignity of human existence within wise and flourishing cultures. This is the vision of Shambhala, and meditation is its foundational practice. Contemplative practices bring a natural sense of goodness, fearlessness and humor into our ordinary lives.
Meditation in Everyday Life (MIEL) is first course in a core program series called the Way of Shambhala. This series helps build a strong foundation in mindfulness-awareness meditation and addresses how to bring meditation, sanity and bravery into the complexity of our daily lives. Each of the five evening classes includes meditation instruction, readings and open discussion.
Tuition: $60 (scholarships available); $50 Center members
Classes will be held at the Shambhala Center on 4495 Indianola Avenue. Space is limited, so please register early!
