Fearlessness in Everyday Life
with Robert Pressnall & Lori Ruth
September 8 / 10:00 AM - September 28 / 3:00 PM
Learning to work with our anxiety, we are not blocked by fear. Through an exploration of the Buddhist teachings of mind and the nature of reality, we learn to see clearly. We dare to face life and death as they are. The meditator, open to uncertainty, goes beyond the emotions of hope and fear to experience equanimity.
The Fearlessness in Everyday Life series mixes meditation with the vastness of space beyond concept. Through an exploration of the Buddhist teachings of emptiness and clear seeing, the meditation opens to the groundlessness, uncertainty and creativity of the world as it is. By exploring the entrapping emotions of hope and fear, we learn to soar fearlessly like the mythical bird known as the Garuda. The price is $100 and only $60 for students and anyone who is pre-registered by Monday Sept 2. There is also a patron rate of $150 to fund scholarships for those who need to pay less. To help us plan please do register right away.
Prerequisites: Students must have completed Joy in Everyday Life. The Way of Shambhala curriculum is designed to be taken in conjunction with Shambhala Training weekends. Shambhala Training Levels I-V are recommended but not required.
