Shambhala Training Level I: The Art of Being Human is the first weekend of our core practice and education program. Through the practice of meditation, we glimpse unconditional goodness as the ground of our existence. Opening to ourselves with gentleness and appreciation, we begin to see our potential as genuine and compassionate human beings. This program includes meditation instruction with periods of sitting and walking practice, formal talks, group discussion and individual meetings with a meditation instructor.
Based on ancient teachings that were brought to the West by Tibetan Buddhist meditation master Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche, Shambhala Training weekends and Way of Shambhala classes offer a way of living in the world with confidence, genuineness and creative expression based on the inherent wisdom that exists in every person. They offer clear and precise methods for uplifting our personal experience and that of others.
Registering online prior to the program is highly recommended as it helps staff prepare for the weekend. Otherwise, check-in begins at 8:15 am on Saturday morning and you may register then.
All participants are invited to a light breakfast buffet available on Saturday and Sunday mornings at 8:30 am, as well as a celebratory reception at the conclusion of the program (Sunday afternoon at 12:00 pm)
If you have any questions or are requesting generosity policy, please contact Malcolm Miller at firstname.lastname@example.org at least five days ahead of the program.
