Midsummers Day: A Celebration of Summer
June 21 / 1:00 PM - June 21 / 6:00 PM
Everyone is invited to join us for our yearly
Mid-Summer's Day Celebration!
Saturday, June 21nd from 1 PM - 6 PM
The Shambhala Center of Minneapolis celebrates the Summer Solstice every year with a picnic. This is a great opportunity to join together as a community of meditators, friends and family to celebrate the season with food, drink and a variety of outdoor activities. We will begin the event with a lhasang (traditional blessing ceremony) at 2 PM. We will start serving from the grill around 3:30 PM.
The Shambhala Center will provide brats, hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken, veggie burgers, buns and condiments. There will also be beer, wine & non-alcoholic beverages provided by the center. You are invited to bring a dish to pass: vegetables, beans, salads, desserts, chips, etc.
We have plenty of tables; however, we are short on seating. If you can, please bring a lawn chair or blanket. If you have yard games, please bring them!
Directions: Patrick Dallas and Susan Engel will be hosting the event at their home. The address is: 2401 Mounds Avenue, New Brighton, 55112.
***Please RSVP to Paul Libersher at 763-213-2146 or firstname.lastname@example.org, as soon as possible. It will be helpful to know how many of you will attend and what you plan on bringing***
