Harvest of Peace
September 21 / 8:30 AM - September 21 / 12:30 PM
Harvest of Peace, held around the time of the autumn equinox, is an opportunity for local communities to gather, hear teachings by Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche, and celebrate the riches of our local cultures and heritage.
Come join us at Open Sky Shambhala from 8:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. on Saturday September 21st.
A continental breakfast (coffee, tea, muffins, fruit) will be available at 8:30 a.m. The program will begin at 9 a.m. with chanting and sitting. We'll listen to Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche offer his annual on-line Harvest of Peace address to the international Shambhala community. We'll mark the transition from Margaret Beilharz to Laurie Fischer as the Open Sky Group Coordinator. We'll end, probably around noon-ish, with light refreshments, convivial conversation and with singing the Shambhala anthem.
Later that evening, those who wish will congregate at 7:30 p.m. at Turtle's Bar and Grill at 2690 Willamette St. in Eugene to hear sangha-member Corey Adkins and his friends play jazz.
