Tibetan Book of the Dead
with Gisèle Laberge
November 4 / 6:30 PM - December 16 / 9:00 PM
This program (7 Monday evening) plus one-day intensive (Saturday) offers the key elements for understanding this treasure of wisdom. According to the tibetan teacher Chögyam Trungpa, the teachings of the Tibetan Book of the Dead are related as much on the cycles of reincarnation as they are on each actual moment of our life.
Subjects to be presented: the cosmology and understanding of mind in the buddhist tradition; the different bardos; karma and gaps. How to help oneself and how to help others face death.
Methodology: This course will offer informations while allowing participants to feel their own personal experience. As such, an active participation is necessary: each participant will have short readings, contemplation and meditation practices to do.
Cost of programme: 200$ (including the one-day retreat Contemplating Death, Appreciating Life, Saturday December 7).
Gisèle Laberge is a senior teacher of meditation and of buddhist and shambhalian teachings. She is the founder of the ONE YEAR TO LIVE workshop which she has been leading since 2001. She is a End of Life companion.
