Community Garage Sale and Winchester Holiday!
August 3 / 10:00 AM - August 3 / 4:00 PM
A community-wide garage sale with great food, music and meditation.
Come by the SF Shambhala Center this Saturday for a fantasitc community event. Our community room will be filled with very-desirable items. There will be delicious food and open meditation--including meditation instruction.
This is a great time to visit the center if you have not been before. And we encourage members of the community to spend time socializing, meditating and shopping.
4 PM Live Music With Wincehster Holiday!
Winchester Holiday is an indie rock band, with members based in Fort Collins and Boulder, Colorado. Prioritizing vocal harmony, refined lyrics, and driving drums, the group fills a niche somewhere between the folk music of the '60s and new wave rock. With a repertoire ranging from Guthrie-esque ballads to telecaster and organ infused anthems, they draw in listeners from all age groups.
You can listen to their music here on soundcloud.
Donate once-loved items to raise funds for the San Francisco Center so that we can continue to bring great dharma pragrams to our community, while working towards a better, more generous, good human society.
Let go of your attachment to: furniture, household and kitchen items, children's things, appliances, upscale clothes, books, nick-knacks, bicycles, exercise equipment, and anything else that you no longer need but think someone else might cherish. Then, come to the sale and find something you love. Ask your neighbors and friends if they have anything they want to donate.
Thursday afternoon from 2 to 4 PM
Wednesday evening during Dharma Night from 6:30 to 9 PM
Saturday before and during the sale, from 9 AM on
If you have a large item or multiple items, we will be happy to pick them up. Please note that items must be in good condition, not soiled or broken
If interested in donating or for more information please contact Kevin: kwalsh311 [at] gmail [dot] com
