OutBreath--LGBT Mindfulness Meditation Group

July 21 / 7:00 PM - July 21 / 9:00 PM

Basically, you're good. You're fine.

Mindfulness meditation is a centuries old, scientifically sound means for re-establishing contact with our basic goodness and sense of well-being. For LGBT persons, keeping touch with this awareness can be especially challenging in a world that often tries to convince us that we are basically anything but good.

OutBreath meetings consist of group sitting meditation followed by discussion, snacks and socializing.

Meditation instruction is quite simple and will be offered free of charge to anyone who is coming for the first time or would like a review.

OutBreath aims to provide a welcoming and friendly environment for those of all gender/sexual orientations (the LGBT community and allies) who are interested in practicing mindfulness meditation.

OutBreath is a secular meditation practice.  Although inspired by the teachings of Shambhala Buddhism, the practice is available to people of any (or no) spiritual-contemplative tradition, as well as those interested in learning more about meditation practice.
