Kurukulla Practice Retreat

with Walker Blaine
October 11 / 12:00 AM - October 11 / 12:00 AM

The focus of this retreat will be on intensive practice and study of the Kurukulla practice, which was composed by the Sakyong while on his year-long retreat.

Traditionally, Kurukulla is invoked to magnetize people, wealth, and energy to virtuous endeavors. In Tibet, she was especially popular during periods of rapid growth and popularization of the dharma, such as during the spread of the Nyingma tradition at the time of the 11th century siddha-scholar, Rongzom Pandita. The Sakyong’s previous incarnation, Jamyang Mipham Gyatso (1846-1912) encouraged the practice of Kurukulla during a time of great expansion and consolidation of the Nyingma during the Rime period.
