Vajrayana Weekend - December 2013

December 21 / 9:00 AM - December 22 / 5:00 PM

PREREQUISITE: You must be a Shambhala Vajrayana Student.

Vajrayana Weekends at SMCD occur the 4th weekend of each month. Occasionally, we will move this Group Practice to another weekend to accommodate a holiday or other gathering.

Saturday's schedule is:

9:00am – 10:45am

Morning Session: Set up, Opening chants, Sitting

11:00am – 1:00pm

Scorpion Seal Online talk:"Entering the Three Courts, Embodying Sacredness" with Achraya Dan Hessey ($25 suggested donation) or study period

1:30pm  1:30pm


1:30pm  3:15pm Afternoon Session: Practice, Closing chants, Clean up 


Children's Day

Sunday's schedule is:

9:00am – 11:30am

Morning Session: Set up, Opening chants, Sitting

11:30am – 12:30pm

Available for Interaction with others, especially newcomers

12:30pm  1:30pm


2:00pm  3:30pm Vajrayana Study Group

4:00pm  6:00pm

Feast or Afternoon Session: Practice, Closing chants, Clean up

*Bringing a lunch is recommended. We have a microwave for reheating food, and a shared refrigerator for your cold items. Nearby restaurants for take-out include La Cocina de Marcos (though closed Sundays) and Pho 87. Also, Sonic Burger is located just east a block or two on the north side of Iliff/Evans.

Suggested study material are either the Adhisthana book or the Werma manual. If we have current online teachings that we haven't seen, we may have a showing of that material with a suggested donation of at least $5 if not stated otherwise. Please bring copies of the book you wish to study, your texts and malas, and/or mandala offering plates as necessary to your practice.
