Shambhala Training Level I- The Art of Being Human
with Jeffrey Stevens
September 6 / 7:00 PM - September 8 / 1:00 PM
The ancient wisdom of Shambhala comes alive in our daily existence. Shambhala Training is a path of meditation that develops fearlessness, confidence, openness, and gentleness towards ourselves and our world. The first in a series of trainings, Level One includes instruction on meditation, talks, individual meetings with teachers, discussions, and a concluding reception.
Level One registration and check-in begins at 6:30pm on Friday evening. All participants are invited to a light breakfast buffet available on Saturday and Sunday mornings at 8:30am. There also is an optional catered lunch on Saturday for $10. Note: When you register, your confirmation e-mail will have a survey link where you can indicate if you wish to participate in this optional catered lunch.
The Friday night talk is FREE and open to the public.
Shambhala Training welcomes people of all religious traditions as well as those who do not follow a particular spiritual path. The workshops are recommended for new and experienced meditators, as well as for those looking to enrich their existing spiritual tradition.
There is NO PREREQUISITE.
STAFFING: If you've completed Level III and MIEL, we invite you to volunteer to help staff this program! It also is recommended [but not required] to have taken the "Shambhala Path of Staffing" training. In Denver, this was held in May 2013 with Shastri Janet Solyntjes, but it has been offered at other Shambhala Centers, too. The coordinator is Michael Archibeque (firstname.lastname@example.org ) or sign up via SMCD's Volunteer webpage HERE.
