The Center’s children’s program uses physical exercises, art activities, and meditation to help children relax, develop inner strength and compassion, and realize the basic goodness of all sentient beings. Activities are designed to be accessible and fun for newcomers as well as those with more experience. Outdoor activities are an important part of our mindfulness program, so please ensure children are prepared with rain boots, clothes that can get muddy, appropriate outerwear for rain, snow, sun, etc., and maybe even an extra set of pants. Parents are invited to join the sangha in meditation practice while their children (ages 4 and up) attend the children’s program. Parents are invited to participate in the program with children younger than 4 years old.
9:50 am: Registration & Gathering
10:00 - 10:35 am: Story, discussion and kid-friendly introduction to mindfulness activity
10:35 - 11:05 am: Snack
11:05 - 11:50 am: Mindful movement, Attentive walking (outdoors), or Kid's Yoga (depending on weather)
