(Generosity policy applies)

Sadhana Seminar at Santa Rosa Shambhala Center, 10 AM to 5:15 PM (lunch break and tea included)

Sadhana of Mahamudra Practice at Sonoma Mountain Zen Center, 6 PM

We will begin at Santa Rosa Shambhala Center.  Through talks, instruction and discussion, Kunga Dawa will help us explore this very powerful guru practice whose purpose is to enable us to invoke the blessings of the Practice Lineage and to renew spiritual strength.  How are we to understand the wild and wrathful imagery of its symbolism, which may at first seem rather strange and outlandish?  And how can the Sadhana help purify the degenerate state of meditation practice and enable us to see the living Dharma within?

At the end of the afternoon, after a hearty tea, we will carpool up to Sonoma Mountain Zen Center where Kunga Dawa will lead us in the Sadhana of Mahamudra at the very beautiful and magical stupa created there in honor of Chogyam Trungpa.  If you just want to practice the Sadhana with us at the Zen Center and wish to carpool with us, please meet in the parking lot at the Santa Rosa Shambhala Center by 5:15 pm, or you may go on your own to the Zen Center and meet us at 5:45 pm in the lower parking lot and we will walk to the Stupa together.  Reminder to bring layers as it may be cool as well as cushions or chairs, hat and sunglasses.  Also please respect SMZC's practice environment by keeping voices low.
