Joy in Everyday Life

In this 5-week course we explore the meaning and sources of joy in our everyday life. The course includes practical methods for developing ongoing kindness toward ourselves and others.
We explore the mahayana Buddhist teachings on compassion, as well as the Shambhala dignity of Perky – symbolized by the lion – and its qualities of cheerfulness, health, and freedom from doubt. By training in virtue and compassion we cultivate a gentle and fearless heart, and with discipline we rouse cheerfulness, energy, and joy in our life.
