Sacred Path - Great Eastern Sun
with Marcia Usow & Daniel Hessey
September 27 / 7:00 PM - September 29 / 6:30 PM
The vision of the Great Eastern Sun is the entrance into sacred world and the beginning of a life-long journey of creating an uplifted and sane society. This program teaches how to see the Great Eastern Sun, the primordial energy and brilliance that radiates from the fabric of all phenomena.
The Sacred Path is a series of weekends that present a vision of Shambhala. In particular, the Sacred Path introduces students to the first text of the Shambhala Terma, or treasure teachings. These treasure teachings present a societal vision and aspiration to help the world manifest a good human society in these difficult times. In addition, students receive tools and warriorship practices to help extend the meditation training given in the first year of the Way of Shambhala.
Prerequisites: Shambhala Training Levels I-V, the 'In Everyday Life' series, and Rigden Weekend.
Shambhala weekends are structured to offer participants teachings within in-depth meditation retreat. Attendance is required for the Friday night talk and for each session of the program. Participants can not register on Saturday morning if they have not attended Friday evening.
Arrangements for the generosity policy must be made at least three business days in advance of the program start date – they cannot be made at the registration table. Learn more about the generosity policy here.
