Shambhala Training: Level 1 & the Shambhala Principle

with Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche & Stephen Vosper & Susan Skjei
May 31 / 6:30 PM - June 2 / 6:00 PM

Shambhala Training is a path of meditation that develops fearlessness, confidence, openness, and gentleness towards ourselves and our world. The first in a series of trainings, Level One includes instruction on meditation, talks, individual meetings with teachers, discussions, and with this unique Level 1 we will be attending The Shambhala Principle: Exploring Personal & Social Transformation at the Boulder Shambhala Center.

Level One registration and check-in begins at 6:30pm on Friday evening. All participants are invited to a light breakfast buffet available on Saturday morning at 8:30am.  The Level One will be at the Shambhala Meditation Center of Denver for Friday and Saturday.  On Sunday, we will carpool to the Boulder Shambhala Center for the workshop with the Sakyong, Jamgon Mipham Rinpoche and Acharya Susan Skjei.

The Friday night talk is FREE and open to the public.

Shambhala Training welcomes people of all religious traditions as well as those who do not follow a particular spiritual path. The workshops are recommended for new and experienced meditators, as well as for those looking to enrich their existing spiritual tradition.

Here is more information on our Sunday intensive:

"The Shambhala Principle: Exploring Personal & Social Transformation," a special, one-day workshop with Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche and Acharya Susan Skjei.

Everyone who attends the full-day program will receive a copy of the Sakyong's new book, "The Shambhala Principle: Discovering Humanity's Hidden Treasure."

Acharya Susan Skjei will lead our exploration of the book's core teaching on humanity's basic goodness, and its relevance to many issues we face at this time in health care, education, family life, economics, human rights, politics, society and the environment.

The workshop will conclude with a talk by Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche, followed by a book signing and a reception.

Stephen Vosper is a long time practitioner and teacher in the Shambhala lineage.  He will be teaching Level One and the Sakyong, Jamgon Mipham Rinpoche and Acharya Susan Skjei will be teaching on Sunday.  If you are interested in just the Level One on Friday and Saturday, please contact Laurie Lavine:  That pricing will be $95 less.
