Shambhala Training Level I
with Catherine Neill
August 31 / 8:30 AM - September 1 / 5:00 PM
Shambhala Training overall concerns helping us reach our potential as dignified and effective human beings in the world. The training relies on meditation as a way of cultivating attention and awareness, and gradually developing the patience and wisdom to make significant changes in our lives.
Level I, the Art of Being Human, examines our basic nature and the potential we have for making a positive difference in the world. The two days combine meditation instruction and practice with talks, group discussions and one-on-one meditation interviews. It starts at 8:30 with breakfast served at the Center, and ends at 5-6:00 pm each day. There are breaks for lunch & tea and a reception on Sunday afternoon. Lunch is usually held in house on Saturday and costs around $5-7. We usually go out as a group for lunch on Sunday.
Generosity policy applies.
