MIDSUMMER DAY CELEBRATION

Our Midsummer Day is on Sunday, June 23 at 12pm (until…) at the Old Kent Jailhouse in Fred Fuller Park!  Please join us in celebrating the summer solstice and longest day of the year!  The day’s events will include:

  • Lhasang, a traditional offering of juniper smoke that purifies the environment and empowers the space, the objects, and the beings within it by invoking awakened energy

  • Potluck lunch (please bring your favorite grillables, a dish to share, and the drink of your choice).  Alcohol is not permitted.

  • Games and outdoor sports(get out your frisbees, hacky sacks, volley ball, bocce, etc!)

  • Music by sangha members If you play an instrument, please bring it!

We are happy to provide hotdogs for the grill, as well as chili and sloppy joes.

Please note that you may wish to bring a lawn chair, if you don’t want to sit at a picnic table for the duration of the event.

Leashed pets welcomed!

A donation of $10 per adult ($5 for kids under 12) is suggested and greatly appreciated!
