Shambhala Level I (Norfolk county) -- POSTPONED
with Debbie McCubbin
June 22 / 7:00 PM - June 23 / 6:00 PM
This retreat will take place in Norfolk, about an hour and a half from Mississauga. We can recommend B&B accommodations for Saturday evening if you need them, or you are welcome to bring a sleeping bag and stay in the yurt.
Level I is a half-weekend retreat that introduces meditation, and working with our thoughts and emotions in the context of everyday life.
This program is based on the idea that the practice of meditation can help people of all walks of life and followers of any spiritual tradition become more present in their own lives, and more compassionate and courageous with the world around them.
Level I focuses on learning the meditation practice, and discovering basic goodness in the world and in ourselves. The workshop includes meditation instruction, practice, talks and discussion. Everyone is welcome.
(For those who wish to pursue a path of study, Shambhala Level I is one of the two introductory programs in the core path of study at the Shambhala Centre. )
Saturday evening 7 pm to 9:30 pm, Sunday 9 am to 6 pm (light breakfast available at 8:30).
