Parinirvana Day Celebration

April 4 / 5:30 PM - April 4 / 7:30 PM

Please join us for a gathering next Thursday, April 4th, to celebrate the life and teaching of the Vidyadhara, Chögyam Trungpa, Rinpoche.  This is our traditional Parinirvana Day celebration!

We'll project some amazing footage of the man himself (a video made for the occasion by Shambhala Archives), practice the Sadhana of Mahamudra together, and share food, drink, toasts, stories, and conversation to top it off.

5:30 - Projection of CTR footage from Shambhala Archives
6:00 - Sadhana of Mahamudra group practice
7:00 - Celebration and offerings

Please plan to arrive by 6 at the latest, as it's best if people don't enter the space once the practice has begun.

As for the celebration, you are strongly encouraged to prepare an offering to honor the life and work of Trungpa Rinpoche.  This can be a reading, personal statement, story, dharma poem, or almost anything!

Please also bring a food or drink offering to share with the group. We have already secured volunteers to bring some sake and fizzy water, but the rest will be up to you.
