Treatise on Enlightened Society: Reading Transmission
April 15 / 8:30 PM - April 15 / 9:30 PM
Written while the Sakyong was on his year-long retreat in 2010, the Enlightened Society Treatise clarifies the meaning of enlightened society, a theme that has played an integral role in the Shambhala vision, and its relevance in the modern world. This theme has been under discussion in our community for many years, but it has not always been understood. The Sakyong is offering this treatise as a way to elucidate the relevance of enlightened society in the modern world. May it awaken the intellect, goodness, and magic of all.
The Sakyong feels that the nature of the Treatise on Enlightened Society calls for a social process of transmission in which all could be empowered to receive and give the lung to each other.
What we are calling the “cascading lung” is likely the first ever “open-source” lung in our community, in which all people are invited and empowered not only to receive, but also give, the reading transmission.
Any and all members and friends who would like to receive this transmission are welcome, however you must first actually make a request to receive the reading transmission. You can make this request by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or by registering below. The Sakyong is inspired to see the text spread according to lines of genuine inspiration and find its way into the hearts of any human beings who are inspired by a vision for enlightened society.
