Learn To Meditate

Are you new to meditation or would you like to try it?  This is a class for you!  You will learn techniques of meditation and practical ways to incorporate it into your life.  If you have an ongoing practice, you will benefit from fresh instruction and may hear something that makes sense for the first time. 

This workshop will include time for questions and discussion.  We all have the ability to realize our naturally peaceful minds, and can access our mind’s natural clarity to focus.  Join us in learning to tame and train our minds through meditation.

Alexander DeVaron has been teaching mindfulness meditation since 1986, and is a Shastri (senior teacher) in the Shambhala Buddhist tradition, serving at the Philadelphia Center.  He is on the faculty of the Penn Program for Mindfulness at the University of Pennsylvania, where he teaches the foundation course in stress management.  He is also a composer, singer and music teacher.
