Miksang Photography Workshop

with Lance Brunner
May 3 / 7:00 PM - May 5 / 5:00 PM

Miksang is a Tibetan word that translates as "Good Eye." In contemplative photography, we work with synchronizing the eye and the mind. When eye and mind are in the same place at the same time, we experience and appreciate the visual vividness of the phenomenal world through flashes of perception. Connecting with pure perception in this way allows us to make heartfelt and brilliant photographic images one can share with others.

Who Should Attend?

Although the experience of clear seeing is available to everyone, people come to contemplative photography with different motivations. Some want to give expression to what they experience through the discipline of meditation. Some have recognized some direct and vivid quality of perception in their own experience and want to explore and express that potential. Others have trained in photography or other arts and are curious about the contemplative approach. The common element is an interest in clear seeing, and the program is open to all who have such an interest.

The Friday night talk is free and open to the public.

The program continues for registrants on Saturday and Sunday, May 4 - 5

Please bring your own digital camera.
