Makkyi Rabjam's Address to the Pillar of Protection

with Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche
April 13 / 10:00 AM - April 13 / 1:00 PM

"Leadership is essential. [We can] lead in a slightly different way, with a sense  of sacredness and discipline. It is challenging to be a good leader; therefore you need good training."
The Kongma Sakyong, November 2012

The Makkyi Rabjam will address the leadership of the Dorje Kasung as part of overall leadership training for the year. This forms part of  addresses to be given to the leadership of each of the three pillars (Practice and Education, Governance, and Protection), which will lead up to Leadership Training programs this summer and the Fifth Shambhala Congress in Cologne, Germany, in September.

The trainings will focus on the theme: "Shambhala: More Like Life, Less Like School" and will include teachings on generosity as well as addressing needs expressed in more than 350 responses to a recent survey on Kalapa Governance.

The Sakyong wishes to make these teachings open to a broad set of leaders across all Three Pillars. The only requirement for attendance is to be an active leader within any capacity of the Dorje Kasung or preparing for a leadership role.

Prerequisites: The only requirement for attendance is to be an active leader within any capacity of the Dorje Kasung or preparing for a leadership role. Please note that while these teachings and addresses are slated as leadership training, any kasung who are interested in leadership in the civilian or kasung mandala either now or in the future are encouraged to participate
