Shambhala Sadhana: Discovering the Sun of Basic Goodness
June 2 / 2:00 PM - June 2 / 4:00 PM
I have composed a sadhana known as the Shambhala Sadhana that helps us, through the powerful practice of meditation, deepen our insight and feeling of basic goodness and enlightened society.
–The Kongma Sakyong, Jampal Trinley Dradul
In January 2011, toward the end of his year in retreat, the Kongma Sakyong composed the Shambhala Sadhana as a way to celebrate and strengthen our understanding of basic goodness and enlightened society. This remarkable practice also serves as a way to bind the Shambhala community in kinship, vision, loyalty, and delight.
The Shambhala Sadhana is offered as a group practice on the first Sunday of every month, as part of Community Practice Day. Requirements for practising the Shambhala Sadhana with a group are the Enlightened Society Vow, and the Shambhala Sadhana lung and Sun Transmission.
