Six Ways of Ruling and the Practice of Leadership
with Richard Reoch
March 22 / 7:00 PM - March 24 / 4:00 PM
The focus of this class is applying the Six Ways of Ruling to the practice of leadership. The Six Ways of Ruling provide a profound view of how we can relate to others in a sane and helpful way. They were first taught by the Vidyadhara Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche and then made public by Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche in his book, Ruling Your World.
This class, through viewing talks by Shambhala International President Richard Reoch and group discussion, will focus on applying that view to the practice of leadership. Leadership in this context includes all of those situations in which we are working collaboratively with others, through both formal and informal leadership.
The Sakyong has asked the President of Shambhala, Richard Reoch, to ensure that members of our community become familiar with these teachings, and incorporate their insight and practical advice into our lives and work – and into working together to develop Shambhala culture.
Please join us for this self-staffed weekend whether you are currently in a leadership role or not. It will be helpful but not required that you are familiar with the Shambhala teachings.
