Don't Bite the Hook

February 19 / 6:00 PM - March 5 / 8:00 PM

This 3 week course consisting of 3 approximately one hour recorded lectures by Pema Chodron will include listening to the talks, meditation, contemplation, and discussion.

Life has a way of provoking us with traffic jams and computer malfunctions, with emotionally distant partners and crying children - and - before we know it, we're upset. We feel terrible, and then we end up saying and doing things that only makes matters worse. But it doesn't have to be that way.  It is possible to relate constructively to the inevitable shocks, losses, and frustrations of life so that we can find true happiness. The key is not biting the "hook" of habitual responses.

The suggested program fee of $15 member/ $30 public is for the full three weeks.  People are welcome to come for one evening at $5 member / $10 public.

David Rook, a senior teacher with the Shambhala center, will facilitate the course.  Meditation instruction will be available.
