MEDITATION WORKSHOP Open to beginning and experienced practitioners

What is Meditation? Meditation connects us with the natural state of the human mind—at rest, open, alert. The basic meditation technique predates most religious traditions, although many use it in one way or another. Undertaken as a steady practice, meditation allows the mind to relax and settle. It encourages our inherent qualities of stability, clarity and mental strength to emerge.
In today’s high-paced, high-stress world, it is helpful for each of us to cultivate our natural, inherent capacity for peace, clarity, wellbeing, and compassion. We can do this through meditation. Spend a Saturday morning learning and discussing simple practices for coming back to the present moment through the breath, the body, and the senses. This meditation workshop led will be led by a qualified Meditation Instructor in a supportive environment—an ideal way to get started or to deepen your practice. Light refreshments will be served.
