Discussions of Three Lojong Slogans (Eastside Shambhala)
February 11 / 7:00 PM - February 18 / 8:45 PM
The Lojong slogans are a series of steps or points of discipline which, when practiced and taken to heart, open the mind and heart, and cultivate joyful living. They use the events of everyday life as a means of awakening. We will discuss slogans 8, 20 and 21 to understand what the slogans mean to us in our own words, and then read commentaries by Chogyam Trungpa and Pema Chodron. Mary Bolton will facilitate discussion of:
"Three Objects, Three Poisons and Three Virtues" on February 11;
"Of the two witnesses, hold the principal one" and "Always maintain only a joyful mind" on February 18.
