Simplicity and Compassion - A Deep Introduction to Shambhala Practice
with Adam Lobel
March 3 / 9:00 AM - March 3 / 12:00 PM
A Public Talk by Acharya Adam Lobel
How can we, as Shambhalians, put the Four Immeasurables - Loving Kindness, Compassion, Joy and Equanimity - into action in order to manifest compassion in the world amidst the turmoil and confusion that confront us in our daily lives? How can we best use our practice to benefit our Center, our work, our families and communities and ourselves? How is it possible to meet cruelty, jealousy and desire with compassion and an open heart in today's world?
Acharya Lobel is a teacher in the Shambhala tradition, a Buddhist minister, and a scholar of philosophy and religion. Adam leads meditation workshops, courses on Buddhist philosophy and the social vision of Shambhala. Adam is also the Acharya for the Mipham Academy, an advanced annual intensive for Buddhist philosophical and contemplative studies at Karme Choling, Vermont.
