Radical Responsibility & Awakened Leadership: Community Practices for Enlightened Society

This highly participatory and transformational weekend training will include talks, discussion, and a wealth of experiential learning exercises in mindfulness-based emotional intelligence (MBEI), effective communication, and leadership skill building, as well as mindfulness-awareness meditation instruction and practice. Participants will have the opportunity to expand their leadership context and learn new skills, and will develop the confidence to integrate them into their professional and personal lives.

Participants will learn better ways to engage effectively with the various challenges we face in our daily lives, through training in a variety of mindfulness and awareness practices:

• giving and receiving feedback




Acharya Fleet Maull is an author, consultant, trainer and coach who facilitates transformation for individuals and organizations. A former drug smuggler, he radically transformed his life and launched two national organizations while serving 14 years in federal prison. He founded the nonprofit organizations, Prison Dharma Network, Peacemaker Institute, National Prison Hospice Organization and, while teaching at Naropa Institute, the Center for Contemplative End of Life Care. Fleet is a leading innovator and pioneer in mindfulness-based prison programming and contemplative approaches to social change. As a consultant at New Line Consulting, he provides a broad range of transformative business and management consulting services to for-profit and social profit organizations. He is also a senior teacher (Acharya) in the Shambhala Buddhist lineage and a senior teacher (Sensei) in the Soto Zen tradition and Zen Peacemaker lineage.

Continuing Education Credits


The National Association of Social Workers PA Chapter is a co-sponsor of this workshop. 15  CEs will be awarded for completion of this course.  NASW has been designated as a pre-approved provider of professional continuing education for social workers (Section 47.36), Marriage and Family Therapist (Section 48.36) and Professional Counselors (Section 49.36) by the PA State Board of Social Workers, Marriage & Family Therapists, and Professional Counselors.
