Open House Talk:
Meditation and the Transformation of Society
With Shastri Samten Kobelt
7 pm Tuesday 19 February 2013
Have you wondered how our basic mindfulness practice and our aspirations for the world sometimes seem to be far apart?
Through this talk and guided meditation, Shastri Samten Kobelt will give an introduction to the Shambhala Teachings, through which we can find ways to approach this seeming dichotomy and bring our understanding of a full and meaningful life to our meditation as well as to our engagement in the world.
Whether you are a new or seasoned meditator, you are warmly welcome to attend and explore.
As part of our open house night, as usual meditation instruction will be available for those who are coming for the first time. We will conclude with tea and light refreshments.
While there is no charge for this talk, we invite you to give a donation to support the continued provision of these teachings.
