Shambhala Day

February 11 / 4:30 PM - February 11 / 9:00 PM

Shambhala Day marks the beginning of the Year of the Water Snake and the Tibetan New Year. Please join us at the Fredericton Shambhala Centre to celebrate.

The day will be highlighted by a global address by Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche. The Sakyong’s live address will take place at 2pm.  The Fredericton celebration will take place in the evening, when we will replay the address.  This is a special day in our annual calendar, so it would be wonderful to see as many members of our community as possible.

As our Sangha grows and many of us only see each other periodically at the Centre, Shambhala Day is an opportunity for us to come together in celebration and appreciation. Cultural offerings (poetry, song, art etc.) and/or food offerings for our potluck dinner and reception would be very welcome.

Fredericton’s 2013 Shambhala Day Schedule is as follows.

4:30 pm Shambhala Sadhana (for those with transmission. As a group practice, the Shambhala Sadhana is open to everyone who has received the reading transmission (lung), and taken the Enlightened Society Vow.)
