“Students are advised to read this book when their life is filled with disruption and uncertainty and neurosis. Even reading only one passage is better than going to a psychiatrist or taking a dose of aspirin.”
—Vidyadhara the Venerable Chögyam Trungpa, Rinpoche
PLEASE NOTE: All are welcome to join us for the first hour of sitting meditation practice, even if you're not planning to stay all day.
The Sonoma Shambhala Center invites everyone to participate in Milarepa Day, in which we will practice the Milarepa Sadhana and read The Rain of Wisdom, a collection of devotional songs written by the forefathers of the Kagyü lineage.
Please bring your copy of The Rain of Wisdom if you have one. And, if you don't plan to attend, please offer your copy for the practice day for those who don't have one yet. Also, please e-mail Marcella Friel at firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested in assisting her in leading a portion of the reading or as timekeeper.
There will be no charge for this practice day, but as always, donations to the Sonoma Shambhala Center are gratefully accepted. Light refreshments will be served throughout the day; please bring your own lunch. Please contact Marcella for more information.
