Mamo Chants

January 31 / 5:30 PM - February 9 / 11:00 AM

This practice begins on January 31st and it will continue for ten days, the last day being February 9th. Please note that on February 5th the chants will be done as part of the Vajrayogini Feast, so will be restricted to Vajrayogini practitioners on that day.

A short presentation about the Protector chants and the Mamo chant will be offered on Sunday, February 3rd at 9:30 am, followed by practice. This talk will be given by senior student, Jerry Chapman and  is particularly recommended for those new to the Mamo chants.

You can read more about Mamo practice in an article entititled "Protector Principle: Averting the Negativity of the Old Year". February 10th, the day before Shambhala Day (February 11), is considered neutral and therefore Mamo chants are not done on this day. Rather, it is a traditional time to clean and refresh one's Centre, home and shrines in preparation for the coming year.

Please join us for some or all of these sessions during this time when the world faces so many difficulties and challenges.
