Introductory Umdze Training

with Eric Forte
February 2 / 10:00 AM - February 2 / 12:00 PM

An "umdze" is the timekeeper or chant leader for sitting meditation. Being an umdze is an opportunity to deepen your own practice while also serving others and provides an example of the forms we practice in the Shambhala lineage.

This is an introductory program intended for those who have not received any umdze training, or who are in need of a refresher course. As the new year starts, this is an opportunity to augment our team of timekeepers and continue providing the Providence area with a valuable meditation environment.

Registration is suggested to determine resources needed, but is not required. There is no charge and no obligation to become an umdze after the training.
