Sustainability Salon - a Talk on Peak Oil

February 22 / 7:00 PM - February 22 / 9:00 PM

Wayne Suyenaga will give a brief talk and lead a discussion about "peak oil." The term "peak oil" refers to the peak of world oil production and consumption. Have we reached it? How is it related to climate change? What does it mean for our economic system that requires constant growth? The talk will incorporate information on these topics into an historical narrative that addresses these questions. Wayne has 20 years' experience as a geophysicist in geothermal and oil exploration for ARCO.

Open to everyone.

Location: Seattle Shambhala Center, 3107 E Harrison St, Seattle.
