Shambhala Day

February 11 / 8:00 AM - February 11 / 9:00 PM

Various events are planned for celebrating Shambhala Day this year, beginning with a Lhasung and sitting practice, ending with an evening celebration. There will be an address by the Sakyong and you don't want to miss the international Shambhala role call! Jeff Scott is organizing the morning events and Wendy Farrell is coordinating the evening events. Schedule for the day includes:

10:30 Festivities begin with a Lhasang followed by Birthday Sadhana. brunch

1:00 The Sakyong's address online; also, international sangha introductions via short video clips

3:00 - 6:30 Break

6:30 Evening celebration begins with an outdoor lhasang at 6:30. Food and drinks will be served throughout the evening

7:00 A video clip of the Sakyong’s address will be played

8:00 or so, celebrations continue with welcoming of new members, handing out of pins and practice books, and general celebrations

 The suggested dress code is uplifted attire. After all, it’s a celebration! Think festive ;-)
