Harvest of Peace Celebration
Open to All!
Childcare will be provided, as needed.
Over the past several years our community has adopted a tradition of celebrating the changes of the seasons. These are called nyida days, from the Tibetan words nyima ("sun") and dawa ("moon"). Nyida days occur on or near the days of the equinoxes and solstices. All four nyida days are regarded as family-oriented celebrations. Harvest of Peace, held around the time of the autumn equinox, is an opportunity for local communities to gather, hear teachings by Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche, and celebrate the riches of our local cultures and heritage.
This year, the Sakyong will address the international community of Shambhala Centers and Groups with a recorded audio message. Please remember to register, below, so the celebration can be well planned.

Typically restricted to those who have received the Lung (reading transmission) the Sakyong has opened the practice to all as a special one time event during Harvest of Peace.
There is no cost, but please register below so we can plan the celebration accordingly.
