with David Hope
March 22 / 7:30 PM - March 24 / 6:00 PM
The contentment, joy, fearlessness, and wisdom of The Way of Shambhala culminates in unconditional confidence.
This weekend retreat, led by Archarya David Hope, introduces the teachings of enlightened leadership. With the great problems now facing human society, it seems increasingly important to find simple ways to bring compassionate and strong leadership to the world, even in small ways.
This weekend emphasizes genuine confidence and steadfastness in facing the world’s challenges. The Rigden is a representation of our basic enlightened nature and embodies the principle of unconditional bravery. Historically, enlightened rulers were those who could 'rule their world' based on their unwavering experience of basic goodness.
David Hope has been a student of Chögyam Trungpa Rinpoche and Sakyong Mipham Rinpoche for the past 30 years. He helped establish the London Shambhala Centre in the 1980’s. Since then he has taught widely in Europe and other countries worldwide and in 2005 he was appointed as Acharya or senior teacher. He now divides his time between Great Britain and Dechen Chöling in France.
