Often we think of meditation as a way to fix or improve ourselves. But this sends us spiraling into the habitual struggle of self-criticism and goal orientation. Shambhala meditation provides a space in which we can relax and experience the freshness of bringing mind and body together in the present moment.
Teacher Rick Merrill is a dance teacher at WWU and taichi teacher and practitioner of 30+ years. He's interested in the synchronization of mind and body (embodiment). He feels it's a tool we all possess for lowering our center of gravity and grounding ourselves.
