Going to Extremes: Not Too Tight, Not Too Loose
In everyday life we are frequently put on the spot and required to speak, listen and think on our feet. However, we often feel we have gone too far or not far enough in our response to everyday life situations. Meditation is about learning to be fully present and reading the world accurately - with our self, loved ones, colleagues and acquaintances. When we are fully on the spot, we navigate the extremes - not too tight, not too loose.
Bob Pressnall is a longtime student of Chogyam Trungpa, Sakyong Mipham and Pema Chodron. He is currently the Head of Education in the Northern California Shambhala region. Bob is familiar with floundering in the deep end, bumping heads in the shallow end, and floating in equanimity.
And Introducing . . .
Summer of Love with Pema Chodron
On the First And Third Tuesdays in June, July and August, from 7 - 9 p.m. we will be playing talks by Pema Chodron and follow that up with discussion and community time. Tea and light refreshment will be offered. Please stay tuned to our website for more details to come!
