Kasungship: Protecting Sanity in the Midst of Chaos

with Jesse Miller & Amy Conway & David Cushman
January 6 / 10:15 AM - January 6 / 12:00 PM

Please join us after Sunday sitting practice for a rousing talk and discussion on the Pillar of Protection and Shambhala warriorship, the Dorje Kasung.  Kasung practice uses techniques of meditation in action to transfrom chaos into wisdom.

The Dorje Kasung is modeled on the ancient tradition of dharma protectors and Drala warriors.  Its members are trained in protecting the space in which practitioners are able to hear and practice the teachings.

Victory Over War

Dorje Kasung training strengthens our capacity to work with heightened and chaotic situations (in our mind and our environment) and to find non-aggressive means to solve conflicts.  The motto of the Dorje Kasung is "Victory Over War."  War represents the struggle created by the three "poisons:" grasping, aggression and ignorance.  Victory is acknowledging these poisons and meeting them with insight and loving kindness.

There is no charge for this talk, but donations are always welcomed!
