 Cutting Through Spiritual Materialism II: A Book Study Class

In this Monday evening class, we will complete the book study we began in November, this time covering Chapters eight through fifteen. One need not have attended the first phase of this class to participate.
Cutting through Spiritual Materialism addresses a broad range of Chogyam Trungpa Rinpoche's teachings, including spiritual materialism itself, the development of ego, the Four Noble Truths, the bodhisattva path, and tantra. We will approach thesee teachings through a series of book stody discussions. Participation is open to all interested students and will include periods of meditation practice as part of the class. It is very important that you read, and even re-read, the material to be discussed before each class.

January 7: Chapters 8 & 9, Sense of Humor and The Development of Ego
January 14: Chapters 10 & 11, The Six Realms and The Four Noble Truths
January 21: Chapter 12, The Bodhisattva Path
January 28: Chapters 13 & 14, Shunyata and Prajna and Compassion
February 4: Chapter 15, Tantra
