Mindful Knitting: A Weekly Meetup

with Peter Dobbin
June 17 / 7:00 PM - June 17 / 9:00 PM

While we’re knitting we can relax; we have nowhere to go and nothing to do. That’s why we knit. Not for sweaters and hats and blankets.

it’s nice when something actually gets finished, but it’s also a little troubling. What shall I make next? When do I start another project? Maybe that’s why it is not uncommon to have four or five projects going simultaneously; we never really want to finish, just knit, breathe and relax.

If you’d like to explore the potential of knitting in your life – as a meditative activity, as a means of relaxation, as a way to express yourself in color and texture while creating beautiful objects – please join our weekly Knitting Meetup.

Here’s what to expect:
For beginners, a supportive environment to learn the basics of knitting. No need to buy yarn and needles during the learning process. We have a lending library of needles and lots of yarn samples to share.

For long-time knitters, a community of sharing and insight. What are you working on? What can others learn from you? What can you get from the experiences of others?

And best of all, knitting together is just plain fun!
